The Truth about Mental Health Disorders – Psychology
Be My Friend – www.myspace.com The Truth about Mental Disorders. Dr. John Breeding, Ph.D. psychologist discusses how mental disorders are created by the American Psychiatric Association and listed in the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical manual of Mental Disorders. Disorders such as bipolar, ADHD, OCD, Anxiety Disorders, etc. are voted into existence by APA committees. The underlying assumption of biological psychiatry is that mental illness is biologically based despite the fact that no solid science has been able to identify biological markers for mental illnesses. @Hornilope You are ignoring medical fascism. Parents may face jail over compulsory drug orders In the US judges can constitutionally order controversial drugs to be given to a child over the opposition of his parents. Parents are medicating their children for fear of having them hauled away by Child Protective Services.
@Hornilope I didn’t ignore your arguments, I answered every single one of them you idiot.
@Hornilope Hundreds of thousands of prisoners, mental patients, children, state wards are either forced or threatened into taking drugs to “treat” these phony illnesses every day! You must be willfully blind to this injustice, or simply uninformed! Do some research!
@jeshopk And nobodys forced to take any medicine. You can slap the diagnose of “schizophrenia” on somebody and they wouldn’t be forced to take anything.
@jeshopk The fact that you deny that anhedonia is real proves that you know to little about the subject to voice your opinion.
@jeshopk SSRI’s do not numb you or make you automatically happy, that is not how they work. They partially fix the chemical imbalance that depression has caused. Depression is extremly different from simply being sad.
There is no justification in comparing SSRI to real drugs since they aren’t addictive or make you high.
Shit, during my biggest depression in my life I took no SSRI or other drugs/medicine because i was surrounded by retards like you.
@jeshopk wow, you have ignored every single argument ive brought forward and still you continue to post? you just denied the existence of the biggest symptom of depression rofl.
Most people who end up in a therapist’s office or web , are’nt very bright to begin with . They agree with what ever the therapist says .
They actually believe that some how talking to somebody that they don’t know is going to make them feel better . Alot of these therapist’s secretly record sessions and then sell this to colleges .
The truth needs to be told .
@pomeroyj You sub moron you!
@Hornilope You are willfully ignorant of the fact these diagnoses are pretend diseases that enable the pushers and takers to sell and take drugs legally under an unjust system that would otherwise punish people. You should feel free to take any drug you want without the bogus disease. Yeah, you felt SAD, and you PREFERRED take a drug to numb it. You didn’t NEED it. You don’t need to convince me you NEEDED it in order to justify your drug of CHOICE. It’s your RIGHT to take whatever you want.
@jeshopk ROFL, do you actually beleive that?
me, along with anyone who has suffered from severe clinical depression, has experienced just that.
have fun living in your dream world where problems that you can deny dont exist. =)
@Hornilope It’s impossible for someone to have the inability to enjoy anything.
@jeshopk no, that is not true anhedonia. anhedonia is the inability to enjoy anything.
@Hornilope THAT WORD JUST MEANS UNINTERESTED IN DOING SOMETHING YOU USED TO LIKE! EVERYONE HAS EXPERIENCED THAT!
@jeshopk The fact that you beleive that thought can cure depression actually proves that you’ve never been anhedonic, which is a major symptom of depression.
@jeshopk yes, im the guy that ignored half of the arguments the other one brought forward and denied the existence of real, extreme mental illness and symptoms because ITZ ALL PART OF TEH EVIL SYSTEM
@jeshopk
and its nice to know that you get your picture of what the mental health care system is like from one flew over the cuckoos nest =)
@jeshopk theyre symptoms of certain types of psychosis, not all.
so if im psychotic and beleive im messiah, that i can fly, and that i can talk to trees i guess im perfectly sane and dont need any help? theyre just different judgements on what is reality and what isnt, right?
indeed, extreme stress can cause hallucinations, but this is a psychosis as a result of that. Its a well known fact that stress can trigger mental illness. Thanks for proving my point. =)
@Hornilope You fucking, fucking, fucking, fucking moron. What the fuck are you doing to be so god damn STUPID?!
@jeshopk once youre in the state of depression the production of serotonin has been severely reduced, which is what makes us respond less to thought and other stimulation then we usually would, thus anhedonia. (and lack of appetite etc)
this naive presumption just proves that youve never been through any real, severe mental health problems and youve never seen anyone who has up close.
your denial of the existance of these things and lack of will to properly define them wont change anything.
@Hornilope THEY ARE TOO LISTED AS SYMPTOMS OF THAT YOU ASS, LOOK IT UP! Yes, extreme stress can cause hallucinations. Look it up. The mental hospital personel are out of touch with reality, so I guess they are psychotic. Of course many of them will say they were sick. This does not make it so. ALL THIS SHIT HAS NO HARD PROOF. JUST VOTES ON CLASSIFICATIONS AND JUDGEMENTS ON WHAT IS “REALITY” AND WHAT IS “NORMAL”. LOTS OF EX HOMOS WILL SAY THEY WERE SICK TOO!
@Hornilope YOU IDIOT. Your serotonin and brain activity RESPONDS to thought, not the other way around.
@jeshopk what you explained arent specific symptoms of psychosis rofl, except for the hallucinations. which are not common if youre stressed, and people who have mental illness get it without the use of drugs.
being psychotic is being out of touch with reality and having lost control of your mind. you denying this being real doesnt change anything.
why dont you ask a person who has been psychotic and recovered wether or not they where sick in that period of time, and see what answer you get =)
@Hornilope What “symptoms” of psychosis do you specifically do you want me to explain? Do you think paranoia, violence or defiance is unwarranted in a mental hospital? I don’t. Do you think hallucination is unusual in a heavily drugged and stressed state? I don’t. Do you think anyone can prove whether or not someone is psychotic? I know they can not. Violence, anger, distrust and lying are the least of what mental health workers should expect in return for their actions.
@jeshopk and how do you explain psychosis?
go to a mental hospital and visit someone who is psychotic.
